The belief that the Bible is full of contradictions is not a new one, and at first glance it’s not hard to find instances that seem to back it up. In fact, one of the most popular productions of The Reason Project is a poster that claims to show 439 contradictions between different parts of the Bible. It’s a clever idea, the poster is beautifully produced, and it successfully creates the impression that the Bible is riddled with contradictions.

As a card-carrying, Bible-believing Christian I thought it would be a good challenge to examine each of the claimed contradictions. Do they really stack up? If they do, Christians should admit it. If they don’t, The Reason Project should ‘fess up to a fraud (or at least ignorance).

I’m planning to examine one claimed contradiction a day for 439 days. I hope you enjoy the ride.
